Last Saturday alandra, Carly, and I were out for twelve hours! We climbed to the top of the arc de triomphe (which has 195 stairs we had to climb up and then back down so double that), we did some shopping, and finally ate escargot. It was my first time, and we got it on video, but I can't put that here. But there's pictures. The green stuff is pesto by the way, not slime. And it was actually pretty good, a bit difficult to chew but it tasted delicious! I'd definetly have some again.

Holiday season
If you walk around the streets of Saint Germain during the first week of January, you will see an abundant of dead trees taking up most of the sidewalk. They were once Christmas trees, but now that Christmas is over no one has need of the decorations, and take them down pretty quickly. There is another holiday that is celebrated in France from the sixth for about two weeks. It's a catholic celebration called "epiphany" and basically you eat a lot of cakes. We've had two here in my host house. But the family has gone out multiple times to friends for cake. But it's a special cake. When baked, you put one hard little thing inside the batter. And whoever has that piece in their piece of cake is the king or queen of the table, and get to wear a crown.
